The wire and cable coating industry is dependent on the process ability of polymeric materials and does not generally use high performance thermoplastics. However, due to the ease of processing and the high quality of product, PEKTMpolymer is increasingly used in demanding wire and cable applications.
Consisting of medium-viscosity resin, G-PAEKTM 1200G is for use in melt extrusion-based wire and cable insulation layers, as well as PEK Monofilaments, multi-filament fibres, ultra-thin tubing, and films. Semi-crystalline material allows for production of articles that are low in gel content and other particulate contamination.
